This book is a unique photo essay of a classic Brooke Gentleman's Cruiser, built in 1929 for a member of the Guiness family, during an extensive restoration by craftsman during the 1990s. The book also includes the construction of Flame, a tender built as a replica to replace the original which was lost during World War II.
This was one of the first eBooks to be published by Nighthawk Publishing and has proved very popular. The very large number of full colour images are practical because the book is not subject to the cost of printing. It has proved most popular as a CD eBook, but advanced data compression made this the first eBook to be practical as an electronically delivered book using email or ftp.
Since its original launch the book has become available as a printed paper book, using on-demand printing as a method of economic production in hard copy format.
